Dr. Nausha Asrar

Biography

Currently serving as an Expert in Materials Science at the Water Technologies Innovation Institute and Research Advancement (WTIIRA) of the Saudi Water Authority (SWA). Dr. Nausha Asrar brings over 30 years of experience in applied research, materials science, and corrosion control. Before joining SWA, he held senior roles at Shell Global Solutions as Principal Corrosion Specialist and at Schlumberger (SLB) in Houston, USA, as Senior Materials Scientist.

Dr. Asrar holds a Master's degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, India, and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Moscow State University, Russia. His extensive career spans leadership in R&D centers for steel, power, petrochemical, and refinery industries, with specialized expertise in materials selection, corrosion identification and mitigation, failure analysis, design review, and high/low-temperature corrosion.
