Dr. Nuria Pena García

Biography

Dr. Nuria Pena gained her PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the Complutense University of Madrid. She has over twenty years experience in water treatment specialising in the study of fouling identification and membranes. Nuria has published more than fifteen papers both about analytical chemistry and water treatment.

Selvan Ponnusamy is the Process expert for RO plant at ACWA power in Bahrain, operating over 15 years. He served also as Operations Manager for Mirfa International Power and Water company and worked in Suez. He earned his Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and Master degrees in Environmental Engineering .

Aqeel Jaffar Mohammed is a senior water chemistry specialist from the Chemical Section Head with over 34 years of extensive experience in desalination. His expertise spans 20 years in brackish water RO desalination and 14 years in thermal desalination, with strong focus on water chemistry control, performance optimization, and operational reliability.
