Mr. Omar Kaoud

Biography

Omar Gamal Kaoud is a PhD candidate at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, with research interests in desalination, membrane technologies, and sustainable water treatment systems. He is currently working on advanced desalination research under the supervision of Prof. Syed M. Zubair and his research team. His work focuses on energy-efficient water desalination, particularly electrodialysis, reverse osmosis, and renewable-energy-integrated systems. With a strong background in mechanical and power engineering, he combines modeling, optimization, and techno-economic analysis to develop practical solutions for water and energy challenges in arid regions
