Marwan Khraisheh

Professor and Head, Division of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering

Professor Khraisheh is an academic leader dedicated to advancing higher education and research in the region. He served as the Founding Dean of Masdar Institute in Abu Dhabi, developed with MIT, and led Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI).

Professor Khraisheh is a recipient of numerous international awards, including the US National Science Foundation CAREER Award and the SME’s Eugene Merchant Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and an elected Member of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP).
