Mr. Yuichi Sugawara

Biography

Yuichi Sugawara is a senior engineer in the Water Treatment Technical Department at Toray Industries, Inc., Japan. He has extensive experience in the operation and technology development of membrane bioreactors (MBR), ultrafiltration (UF), and reverse osmosis (RO) membrane systems, as well as advanced water treatment processes.

His work focuses on the development of membrane-based water treatment technologies, including the evaluation of emerging contaminant removal from water, such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

His current interests include the development and practical application of membrane systems for sustainable water reuse.
