Biography
Abraham Negaresh is an experienced process engineer with over 17 years of experience in water production, engineering consulting, and applied research. He currently serves as the Associate Director- Desalination and Reuse Lead at the Water Research Centre (WRc). His expertise includes municipal and industrial water treatment projects in the UK and Australia, with a focus on desalination and water reuse technologies. Abraham previously served as technical manager at the UK's only large-scale desalination plant owned by Thames Water, where he oversaw operations, optimisation, and maintenance, while providing technical and strategic advice to senior managers. Abraham holds a PhD focused on industrial water recycling and reuse using membrane technology, with the aim of beneficially reusing treated water and brine in the Australian context.
