Biography
Prof. Ibrahim S. Al-Mutaz has over four decades of academic and professional experience in desalination and water treatment, dating back to 1979. His expertise encompasses modeling and simulation of desalination processes, process optimization, hybrid desalination systems, integrated water–power production, and nuclear desalination. He has authored more than 65 publications in the field of desalination and water treatment.
Prof. Al-Mutaz serves as a member of the Board of the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Prince Sultan Research Center for Environment, Water, and Desert. He has also served on the editorial boards of several leading international journals, including Desalination (Elsevier), the International Journal of Nuclear Desalination (Inderscience), and Desalination and Water Treatment. In addition, he was a founding member of the Arab Water Council, contributing to regional and international water research and policy development.
