Prof. Jungbin Kim

Biography

Dr. Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science at Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU). Before joining WKU, he served as a Research Professor at Korea University, where he also completed his BSc and PhD degrees in Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering. His research focuses on artificial intelligence-driven desalination and water reuse through advanced membrane processes. He has published over 25 papers in leading SCIE journals and contributed to technological innovation with 20 applied patents, 12 granted patents, and 2 transferred to industry. He leads several research projects as a principal investigator, including the Research Fund for International Young Scientists supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He also serves as an Associate Editor of Desalination and a committee member of the IDRA Young Leaders Program. Dr. Kim has been recognized with the Korea Young Talent Award and the Zhejiang Young Talent Award.
