Prof. Jamel Orfi

Biography

Dr Jamel Orfi is a professor of Mechanical Engineering, King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh, KSA.

He obtained his MSc and PhD degrees from Sherbrooke University, Canada.

His research interests focus on desalination and energy systems/processes and on renewable energy (RE) integration. He led and participated in several national and international projects on power and desalination, solar energy, evaporative cooling, and brine discharge. He is among the team of the Desolination project, EU-GCC project on the use of CSP waste heat in desalination
