Dr. Jia Shin

Biography

Jia Shin is NPI Manager specializing in seawater desalination, membrane technologies, and wastewater reuse, with extensive experience in advancing innovative water treatment solutions from research to deployment. She holds a PhD degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, with research focused on membrane fouling monitoring, diagnostics, and performance optimization in pressure-driven membrane systems. She has contributed to the development, piloting, and scale-up of advanced reverse osmosis, high-recovery desalination, and membrane-based water reuse technologies. Actively works at the interface of science, engineering, and commercialization, supporting technology validation and first-of-a-kind applications. Passionate about addressing global water challenges through practical innovation, data-driven design, and collaborative engineering.
