Mohammad Tariq is a laboratory technician with a mechanical engineering background and hands-on experience in metallurgical and mechanical testing, materials characterization, and day-to-day lab operations in a research environment. He received a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the College of the North Atlantic–Qatar (CNA-Q) and joined the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI), where he supports R&D projects and root-cause failure analysis within the Materials Unit. His work includes equipment procurement, installation and commissioning, routine maintenance and calibration, and inventory control through a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). He also supports Quality, Environmental, and HSE requirements, ensuring IMS compliance, and contributes to ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation activities. Currently, he is completing an MSc in Energy Sustainability, strengthening expertise in material–water interaction, polymer chemistry, and water quality analytics.
